| Jabal Qammouah is a small paradise
of streams, rugged mountains and sturdy gnarled pines. In winter
the snow-covered peaks are particularly arresting.
This is a good place for picnicking,
hiking and photography. Keep your eyes open for ruins and other
remnants of the past. About half way across the flat-topped mountain
there is a hill where three standing structures can be seen, possibly
the ruins of an old monastery.
